Rio Grande and Vieques took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Brad Boudouani knocked in all 5 runs for the Rio Grande Zarzas, helping them defeat the Vieques Zumbadorcitos, 5-3. Fernando López picked up the win with 9 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 3-0.

Boudouani had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 0-2 curveball from Miguel Salinas, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Zarzas a 5-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Boudouani.

"It feels good to get this one," Boudouani told the Rio Grande Observer.

The Zarzas, now 8-3, have played some good baseball in the early going.
