Hellfire Thrill Fans with 6-5 Win
The Medicine Hat Hellfire faced a tough opponent in Calgary pitcher Serafín Villanueva, but still scratched out a win at Hellfire Park by a final score of 6-5 in 10 innings. Villanueva went 9.1 innings and allowed 6 runs. Medicine Hat reliever John Barthold picked up the win, while Serafín Villanueva took the loss for Calgary. The win gives Medicine Hat a record of 7-6.

Medicine Hat got a clutch hit from Doroteo Semidei. The third baseman launched a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Semidei told the Medicine Hat Daily.
