Strikers Lose Late, 10-7
The Saskatoon Willows beat the Winnipeg Strikers, 10-7, in 22 innings. Saskatoon pitcher and Portmore, Jamaica, native David Middleton led the way. Desiderio Rodríguez picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-4. Ismael García suffered the loss. With the win, the Willows improved to 20-21.

Saskatoon used a clutch hit from Igor Castillo to snatch the win. The shortstop belted a 3-run home run in the top of the 22nd inning to put the Willows ahead, 10-7. It was his only hit, but it was huge.

"Exciting game to play in," said Middleton. "Getting the win makes it even better."
