Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Gas
The Vancouver Gas racked up a win at Gas Field, bumping off the Kelowna Grizzlies, 4-3, in 17 innings. Eumeo Hernández, who started for Vancouver, pitched effectively for his team. Vancouver reliever Jacinto Trejo picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Celino Ramírez absorbed the loss. Vancouver is in 4th place in the Western League with a record of 28-36.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 17th, 24-year old center fielder Julio Felipe had a chance to be the hero. Kelowna pitcher Celino Ramírez had other ideas. But with two outs, Felipe hit a run-scoring single. The Gas had themselves a dramatic win.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Kelowna manager Archie Hogan.
