Calgary Chargers starter Bernal Lupercio pitched a strong game against the Kelowna Grizzlies at Chargers Grounds, leading the Chargers to victory, 6-2. Lupercio picked up the win for Calgary, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Calgary is now 45-35.

The Chargers got a big hit from pinch hitter Hernando Romero. In the bottom of the eighth, Romero smacked a 2-run double off Kelowna pitcher Pirro Arias. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Chargers were ahead, 3-2.

"They played a better game than we did," said Kelowna skipper Archie Hogan.
