The Odessa Cowhands topped the Marfa Ghost Lights, 3-2, in Eastern Association action at Odessa Fields. The standout performance belonged to Odessa pitcher and Güira de Melena, Cuba, native Zenobio Estrada. The win takes Odessa to 15-9.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 22-year old second baseman David Patin had a real shot to win the game. Marfa pitcher Esteban Baubia was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Patin hit a run-scoring single. The Cowhands had a walk-off triumph.

"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Marfa manager Gregorio Sanabria.
