New Braunfels turned a good effort from starter Malik Sanford into a win over the Waco Mammoths at Yodelers Grounds. The Yodelers won the game, 3-2. With the loss, Waco sinks to 13-11.

Had Jon Davies not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Davies hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Yodelers.

"I just trusted my stuff," said Sanford.
