Victory Over Cadavers Takes New Braunfels to 10-6
The New Braunfels Yodelers stopped the San Marcos Cadavers, 5-3, behind an impressive performance from Basilio Macías. The 23-year old right fielder made life miserable for San Marcos pitching. He went 4 for 4 with a triple and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. No one expected much of this team, but the hot start by New Braunfels might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. This latest win lifts their record to 10-6.

It could have been a different outcome for New Braunfels, had it not been for Disibodo Flores, the 34-year old left fielder . Flores contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put New Braunfels up, 4-2.

Flores called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
