San Marcos designated hitter Medardo Castrillón made his presence felt in the 6-4 Cadavers triumph over the Waco Mammoths. Castrillón went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Gelasio Campos was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 7 hits, with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. The loss puts Waco at 5-15.

With San Marcos trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Castrillón hit a changeup from Julián Orúe for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Cadavers ahead, 4-2.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Castrillón.
