Andrade, Horizons Beat Yardmen, 6-5

Fans watched the Amarillo Horizons and the Wichita Falls Yardmen fight to the finish.
Amarillo beat Wichita Falls at Yardmen Park, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to designated hitter Abenámar Andrade. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Horizons, now 17-6, have played inspired baseball.
Andrade had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-1 cutter from Aurelio Castellanos, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Horizons a 6-5 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Andrade.
"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Kevin Kerfoot.
