Julián Orúe pitched well, but the Waco Mammoths still lost the game, falling, 4-3, to the San Marcos Cadavers at Mammoths Field. San Marcos pitcher Gelasio Campos got the win. He's now 3-1. Julián Orúe was tagged with the loss. The victory gives San Marcos a record of 17-11.

San Marcos used a clutch hit from Medardo Cervantes to get the win. The first baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cadavers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Cervantes attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
