Odessa Hangs 6-2 Loss on Marfa
|
The Odessa Cowhands topped the Marfa Ghost Lights, 6-2, with youngster Jur Kadlec playing a key role. Kadlec went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Cowhands in the win. Odessa is now 29-29, while Marfa is 32-26.
There was more than one reason the Cowhands beat the Ghost Lights, but Kadlec's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Odessa manager John Roda.
