Mammoths Earn Late Win
Waco Mammoths starter Ulises Gómez pitched a strong game against the San Marcos Cadavers at Mammoths Field, leading the Mammoths to victory, 5-4. The Mammoths saw their win-loss record go to 21-45. At the same time, the Cadavers fell to 38-28.

Waco got a knockout punch from Édgar Nieto. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Tough game to lose," said Nieto. "I feel bad for the guys in the other clubhouse. But not that bad."
