Werewolves Get Hard-Earned Win
The Los Lunas Werewolves defeated the Taos Artists, 7-6, at Taos Grounds. Pánfilo Ruiz produced 2 singles and 1 double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 1. Bob King claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 4-1. The triumph makes Los Lunas 26-56.

Ruiz had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch circle change from Oscar Soto, he banged a run-scoring double to left, giving the Werewolves a 7-6 lead. It was the 18th double of the year for Ruiz.

"It wasn't a pretty victory," said Ruiz, "but we got it done."
