The 1908 season is getting uglier for Abilene.

In the 8-6 Lubbock win over Abilene, the impact of Zenón Martínez was substantial. Martínez, who is tied for 7th in the FBL-WA with a .545 slugging percentage, was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. The losses continue to mount for Abilene, which has now dropped 6 in a row.

Tito Camacho was a prime factor in the win for the Layabouts. In the top of the sixth with one out, the 27-year old catcher hit a run-scoring single. He was 1-5.
