The Santa Fe Hollyhocks locked up a win at Santa Fe Stadium, knocking off the Los Lunas Werewolves, 9-2. On the mound for Santa Fe was right-hander Hugo Medrano. He played a major role in the triumph. Santa Fe, at 46-42, sits in third place in the Western Association Santa Fe Circuit.

With two out in the bottom of the fourth, Luis Santiago barreled up a fastball from Andrónico Carrera. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Hollyhocks in front, 8-0.

Said losing manager George Shoch: "Give the Hollyhocks credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
