The New Braunfels Yodelers powered past the San Marcos Cadavers, 8-4, at Yodelers Grounds. Chris Ricard provided some of the pop. He went 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Carlton Milne, the winning pitcher, is now 6-5. He went 9 innings, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits, while fanning 2 and walking 4. The last-place Yodelers now have a record of 49-57.

Ricard contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for New Braunfels in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Ricard took a slider from Liu-liang Shen and stroked the double to right-center. His 14th double of the season allowed the Yodelers to leap in front, 3-2.

"When there are games to be won, you win them," said New Braunfels manager Menelao Martín.
