Ortiz Helps Abilene Cruise to 13-3 Win
The Abilene Preachers got production up and down the lineup while beating the Wichita Falls Yardmen, 13-3. One standout was designated hitter Arturo Ortiz. Ortiz belted 2 home runs. He drove in 8 runs and scored twice. Abilene pitcher Matt Tulk got the win. He's now 5-9. Íñigo León was tagged with the loss. The Preachers win now puts them at 35-66.

In the first inning, Ortiz had a 2-run home run for Abilene. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the Preachers on top, 3-0.

"We got our butts kicked," said Wichita Falls manager Kevin Kerfoot.
