Amarillo and Wichita Falls duked it out and the Horizons came out victorious.

The Amarillo Horizons managed to get by the Wichita Falls Yardmen, 2-1, at Horizons Park. Amarillo pitcher Reehan Davis set himself apart with his performance. The win was credited to Timoteo Poutini in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Moisés Paz took the loss.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Yohei Rodríguez in the bottom of the 11th. That's when he hit a solo home run off 23-year old right-handed pitcher Moisés Paz to win it for Amarillo and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Davis, "and then get after the next one."

At 54-58, the Horizons find themselves in third place in the Western Association Abilene Circuit.
