Yodelers Claim Late Win
The New Braunfels Yodelers defeated the San Marcos Cadavers, 5-3, in Eastern Association action at Cadavers Park. New Braunfels pitcher Bruce Petley had a standout performance. New Braunfels reliever Gastón Hurtado was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-0. Faustino Montes De Oca took the loss for San Marcos. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for New Braunfels.

New Braunfels needed the clutch hitting of Sebastián Cordova to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Yodelers on top, 5-3. For the game, Cordova had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Cordova.
