The Waco Mammoths earned a close win over the New Braunfels Yodelers, thanks in part to Tito Rodríguez. The Waco left-hander, who is tied for 10th in the FBL-EA with a 2.82 ERA, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. The Mammoths, at 35-70, sit in last place in the Eastern Association San Marcos Circuit.

Jerónimo Guerra hit a 3-run home run off Esteban Reyes in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Mammoths ahead, 3-1. In addition to the homer, Guerra had 1 double, while going 2 for 3.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Rodríguez.
