Wichita Falls Yardmen starter Pablo Salas pitched well against the Abilene Preachers at Abilene Grounds, leading his team to a win, 6-4. Eugenio Prieto recorded his 13th save for Wichita Falls. With the win, Wichita Falls upped its record to 57-54.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Miguel Ángel Hernández hit a first pitch fastball from Matt Tulk for a run-scoring single. It put Wichita Falls in front, 3-2.

"You just play the game as right as you can and see where you end up," said Yardmen manager Kevin Kerfoot.
