Yodelers Done In By Mammoths, 4-1
|
The Waco Mammoths converted a terrific effort from starter Ulises Gómez into a win over the New Braunfels Yodelers at Yodelers Grounds. The Mammoths won the game by a final score of 4-1. The Mammoths go to 38-74 with the win.
Waco used a well-timed hit by Valerio Díaz to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mammoths ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Wish we'd had more wins to celebrate like this one," said Díaz.
