The Tyler Pecan Kings locked up a win at Pecan Kings Stadium, knocking off the Beaumont Alpinists, 4-1. On the mound for Tyler was left-hander Loquillo Martínez. He played a major role in the triumph. The winner was Martínez. He threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Michael Allan. Guillermo Orozco was credited with the save, his 12th in 14 tries.
