Martínez Excels in 12-3 Lubbock Win
The Lubbock Layabouts coasted to a win over the Abilene Preachers, 12-3. Zenón Martínez had a good day at the plate for Lubbock. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Esteban Padilla was the winner. He's now 1-1. The loser was Oliver Minasian. The Layabouts, at 72-51, sit in first place in the Western Association Abilene Circuit.

Lubbock used a clutch at-bat from Connor Garner to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Layabouts ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
