Mammoths fans were treated to an exciting walk-off win.

The Mammoths earned a hard-fought, 6-4 win in 16 innings at Mammoths Field. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Luling pitcher Adrián Acosta. Acosta went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Waco reliever Uranio Reynoso picked up the win to move to 3-1. Efraín Rosell suffered the loss.

Vidal Checo played the role of hero for Waco. In the bottom of the 16th, he launched a 2-run home run off Efraín Rosell to win the game. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Checo. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."

The second-place Lavender Stockings dropped to 64-60.
