Nacogdoches Tacks 6-1 Loss on Beaumont
The Nacogdoches Roaches downed the Beaumont Alpinists, 6-1, at Roaches Park. Stellar pitching by Florián Sandoval had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who is tied for 7th in the FBL-EA with a 1.10 WHIP, handcuffed his opponent all game. With the win, Nacogdoches upped its record to 69-56.

Rosendo Rodríguez had a big hit for Nacogdoches in the bottom of the second inning. With Nacogdoches leading 1-0, Rodríguez hit a 2-run triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Roaches up, 3-0.

Rodríguez said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
