Molina Mows Down Las Tunas in No-Hitter
In a dominant outing, Baldovino Molina of the Guantanamo Cocoteros totally silenced the bats of the Las Tunas Escultores, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the 2-0 victory, Molina faced only 30 batters, surrendered no hits, had 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Guantanamo manager Normando de León said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Alberto Nevárez told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.

"The Cocoteros had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Molina pitched a heck of a ballgame."

To this point in the season, Molina shows a 2-1 record, 6 starts, 45 innings, 19 strikeouts and a 2.60 ERA.
