The Mayabeque Alacranes got a sterling performance from pitcher Zacarías Jiménez, but the Santa Clara Leopardos still prevailed, 5-3. Jiménez threw 8.0 innings allowing 4 runs. Jack Katoll picked up the win, improving his season record to 11-12. He struck out 3 in 8 innings. By defeating Mayabeque, the second-place Leopardos improved to 48-63.

Making an impact for Santa Clara was center fielder Andreas Johnson. Black Bear drilled a run-scoring triple off Zacarías Jiménez in the top of the fifth. For the game, Johnson went 2 for 5 with a triple.
