Pericos Slap 5-2 Loss on Guantanamo
Holguin Pericos starter Gonzalo García turned in a top-notch performance against the Guantanamo Cocoteros at Recinto Deportivo de Holguin. The result was a win for the Pericos, 5-2. Holguin is 57-57 and Guantanamo, with the loss, 48-66.

An inflection point occurred with two out in the bottom of the sixth. That's when Pericos first baseman Rolando Pérez hit a changeup from Normando Saravia for a 2-run single. Just like that, Holguin was up, 3-2.

"I think it speaks for itself, I think we came out and we played our kind of baseball," said Pérez.
