Willows Take Tight Tangle
The Saskatoon Willows locked up a win at Saskatoon Fields, knocking off the Steinbach Mennonites, 4-3. On the mound for Saskatoon was right-hander Mark Daly. He played a major role in the triumph. Saskatoon goes to 47-63, Steinbach to 51-59.

The game was at a stalemate until second baseman Dane Johnson came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Steinbach pitcher Blair McDonald, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Saskatoon on top, 4-3.

"We'll kick back a while," said Johnson, "and then get ready for the next one."
