The Kamloops Fur Traders could not turn a fine performance from first baseman René Pérez into a win. Instead, the Vancouver Gas prevailed, 5-4. Pérez was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Vancouver reliever Jacinto Trejo picked up the win, while Isidoro Fernández took the loss for Kamloops. Vancouver, at 51-65, sits in 4th place in the Western League.

Vancouver took a 5-4 lead on Leonel Carrizales's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Carrizales hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Kamloops pitcher Isidoro Fernández visibly frustrated.

"We did enough to win," said Carrizales.
