The Medicine Hat Hellfire extended their losing streak with a defeat by the Vancouver Gas.

Medicine Hat had no answer for Vancouver Gas starter Guadalupe Macías, who flummoxed Hellfire hitters as the Gas cruised to victory, 7-1. The losses continue to mount for Medicine Hat, which has now dropped 8 in a row.

Macías ran roughshod over the Medicine Hat lineup. The right-hander allowed just 4 hits over 9 innings, while striking out 7. With the victory, he goes to 2-3 on the season.

"Guadalupe is a tough competitor," said Vancouver manager Lynwood Thomas.
