The Medicine Hat Hellfire defeated the Calgary Chargers, 6-3, in Western League action at Chargers Grounds. Medicine Hat pitcher Dougalasa Kolet had a standout performance. Kolet yielded 3 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 10. His record improves to 13-11. The Hellfire have an impressive 75-43 record.

Medicine Hat used the timely hitting of Kevin Best to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hellfire on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Kolet told the Medicine Hat Bulletin. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
