Rum Runners Pick Up 5-2 Win Against Steinbach
|
Behind the hitting of Arnulfo Montoya, the Moose Jaw Rum Runners stopped the Steinbach Mennonites, 5-2. Montoya went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Rum Runners. Adrián López earned the win for Moose Jaw. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 1-2. At 81-48, the Rum Runners are currently first in the Plains League.
Moose Jaw took control in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Zoilo Santiago hit a 2-run single to make it 3-1, Rum Runners.
