Extra-Inning Win by Strikers Over Rum Runners
The Winnipeg Strikers faced a tough opponent in Moose Jaw pitcher Darragh Barry, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rum Runners Park by a final score of 6-5. Barry went 9.2 innings and allowed 6 runs. Winnipeg starter Efraín López was credited with the win after throwing 128 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 10-8. Winnipeg, at 61-70, occupies third place in the Plains League.

Vicente Martínez came through with a big-time hit for Winnipeg. The shortstop smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Martínez. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
