The Zeniths grabbed a win, 6-4, at Pig Iron Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Marquette pitcher Marco García. García went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. Silvio Ramírez earned the win. Sabino Flores took the loss for Marquette. With the loss, Marquette falls to 2-5.

Duluth used a timely hit from 36-year old first baseman Rafael Baldez to get the win. The pinch hitter delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Zeniths on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was huge.

"I like the roll we're on," said Duluth manager Fred Corey.
