Duluth Zeniths starter Anaxímenes Valverde had all his pitches working at Rapids Park, But Better. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Duluth win over the Sault St. Marie Rapids. The loss puts Sault St. Marie at 5-4.

Duluth used the clutch hitting of Judá Gaitán to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Zeniths the lead, 3-1. For the game, Gaitán had 1 single and 2 doubles in 4 at-bats.

"Anaxímenes was in attack mode the whole game," said Duluth manager Fred Corey.
