The Marfa Ghost Lights defeated the Odessa Cowhands, 7-6. Center Fielder Madis Uutma deserved a large share of the credit. Uutma went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Ghost Lights. Lorenzo Carroll earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. The win puts Marfa at 3-1.

Marfa needed the clutch hitting of Olívio Soromenho to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ghost Lights on top, 7-6. For the game, Soromenho had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Odessa manager John Roda. "But we decided not to take it."
