The Saginaw Joes beat the Alpena Partridges, 8-3, at Old Growth Forest. The Joes got a fine performance from left fielder Carlos Alfaro, who went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Saginaw pitcher John Callahan earned the win, hiking his record to 7-3. Rafael González suffered the loss. Saginaw, at 25-23, sits in first place in the Western Great Lakes Association League of Lake Huron.

Starting Pitcher Pedro Olave made an impact for Saginaw, when he swatted a 2-run double off Rafael González in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Olave went 2-3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 4 runs.
