The game ended in walk-off fashion, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Norwalk turned a good effort from starter Eduardo Fajardo into a win over the Erie Commodores at Syrup Park. The Maples won the game, 3-2. Nicolás Esparza got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

The two teams entertained the Syrup Park crowd with some good baseball.

"We had a hellacious effort," said Maples manager Dagoberto Jaso. "We hung in there and hung in there."

With the win, the Maples have a record of 15-16.
