Peach Kings Capture Close Win
The excitement level at Fairweather Park reached a crescendo in the final at-bat.

Acacio Martínez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Oswego Hydropathists from being beaten, 6-5, to the Irondequoit Peach Kings at Fairweather Park. Martínez hit 2 home runs. The Peach Kings improved their record to 14-17 with the win over Oswego.

Josef Bennink was the walk-off hero for Irondequoit. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Peach Kings center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Bennink.
