Álvaro Preciado left his imprint on the 9-8 Meadville win against the Erie Commodores. Preciado, who is tied for 5th in the EGLA in home runs with 3, went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The third-place Zips lifted their record to 15-17.

Meadville center fielder Gavan Green produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Justin Magee on the mound and Meadville leading 5-4. Green drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
