Tulips Lose as Amarelles Stage Late Rally
The home team gave the crowd some walk-off drama.

Holland got a big-time effort from pitcher Propercio López, but it wasn't enough to keep the Traverse City Amarelles from winning the game, 3-2. López threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Traverse City reliever Jim Jones snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Stephen Wilson shouldered the loss.

The Amarelles were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 26-year old left fielder G. Vidal landed a big blow. He turned a full count fastball from Stephen Wilson into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Orchard Grounds denizens into a frenzy and sent the Amarelles home with a thrilling 3-2 win.

"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Vidal said.

Traverse City raised its record to 16-16 with the win.
