The Voyageurs earned a hard-fought, 6-5 win in 10 innings at Pig Iron Stadium. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Marquette pitcher Sabino Flores. Flores went 8 innings and allowed 3 runs. Leonardo Bonilla was the winner. Over 9 innings, he yielded 5 runs on 10 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Ananías Pérez finished to wrap up his 4th save.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the tenth, Matías Pérez hit a sacrifice fly. The Voyageurs took the lead, 6-5.

Pérez said his wife shared good advice with him before the game. "She said, 'Don't allow this game to make you mad.' When I thought about it, I realized this is just a game. I was able to relax at the plate."

The 'W' lifts Grand Marais's record to 20-23.
