Utica and Irondequoit got after it at Fairweather Park.

Utica starter Germán García pitched well against the Irondequoit Peach Kings at Fairweather Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-0. With the win, Utica goes to 25-18, while the Peach Kings fall to 18-21.

Utica used a clutch at-bat from Jerónimo Velasco to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Half Moons ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Germán was the difference maker. He was emotionally under control, had good stuff and makeup," said Utica manager Oscar Romero.
