Grand Marais picked up a win at Rapids Park, But Better, bumping off the Sault St. Marie Rapids, 5-2. Pitcher Luis Zacarías was a major reason the Voyageurs emerged victorious. The winner was Zacarías. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Antonio Sánchez. Grand Marais is now 25-20.

Isidro Gómez had a big 3-run home run for the Voyageurs in the top of the third inning. With Grand Marais leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 34-year old right-handed pitcher Antonio Sánchez and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Voyageurs on top, 5-0.
