Chicken Chuckers Defeated by Citadels, 7-1

The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Kingston fans at The Fortress.
The Kingston Citadels picked up a win at The Fortress, knocking off the St Catharines Chicken Chuckers, 7-1. Starting pitcher Stewart Hunter was a big reason why. In 6 innings, Hunter surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.
Roy Meagher took St Catharines hurler Bob Cashmann deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Citadels on top, 3-1. In all, Meagher had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I always go out there hoping to contribute," said Meagher.
The Citadels saw their record improve to 23-23.
