In a tight contest at Erie Naval Yards, the Buffalo Hopper Boys edged the Erie Commodores by the score of 5-4. Buffalo right fielder Rabbit Robinson, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The winner was Josh Cornaby, who threw 127 pitches over 7.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits. Alejandro Urbina earned the save for Buffalo, his 2nd.

The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Robinson hit a solo home run off Marco Tablada. It propelled the Hopper Boys into the lead, 1-0.
