Tulips Rally to Win
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Traverse City Amarelles take on the Holland Tulips.

The Holland Tulips eked out a 3-2 win versus the Traverse City Amarelles at Orchard Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Senén Sánchez. He was terrific. Sánchez yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-1. Stephen Wilson closed it out for his 5th save.

Holland used the timely hitting of Alberto Briseño to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Tulips on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is the only objective," said Sánchez after the game.

The Tulips raised their record to 24-28.
