Late Offense Lifts Oswego to 5-2 Victory
|
Led by Jan Beal, the Oswego Hydropathists downed the Syracuse Halites, 5-2. Beal went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Hydropathists. The third-place Halites now sit at 29-23.
In the bottom of the eighth, Félix Loño put Oswego in front with a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single, making the score 3-2, Hydropathists.
"It never gets old," said Beal. "Winning, that is."
