Hopper Boys Rally Late to Nip Maples
Pitching was the name of the game for the Buffalo Hopper Boys and the Norwalk Maples. Buffalo won it, 2-1, in 11 innings. Buffalo starter Josh Cornaby was in command. Buffalo reliever Christiansen Goldbaek picked up the win, raising his record to 1-3. Pablo Cortés was tagged with the loss. The Hopper Boys saw their win-loss record go to 27-27. At the same time, the Maples fell to 23-31.

The Hopper Boys got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Mateo Castañeda. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Hopper Boys.

"What a great game, great atmosphere," Castañeda said.
